Construction Updates

The Grand Avenue transformation is almost complete! Over the next week, crews will finish planting all the new landscaping and installing decorative fencing outside businesses from Kalmia to Broadway. Crews will continue laying concrete on the sidewalks and asphalt on the road between Broadway and Maple, which should be done by the end of next week. The City anticipates opening all roads by the end of April!

Crews are adding decorative designs and words in the concrete along Grand Avenue through a process called sandblasting. They started earlier this week on the Broadway roundabout and nearby tree wells. The sandblasting process should be completed by the end of next week. We appreciate your patience as we complete this work!

Traffic Reminders: Please be aware that through traffic is closed from Kalmia and Maple and at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Broadway. There are alternative routes available at Valley Parkway and 2nd Avenue. When driving through the area, remain aware of all traffic signs. If walking, please remain on the designated walkways for your safety.
