Escondido Public Library Launches Annual In-N-Out “Cover to Cover” Reading Program
October 4–November 15, 2025

Escondido, CA — Escondido Public Library invites children ages 4–12 to take part in the annual In-N-Out “Cover to Cover” reading program, running Saturday, October 4 through Saturday, November 15, 2025. Young readers who complete the program will earn gift cards redeemable for a free hamburger or cheeseburger from In-N-Out Burger, courtesy of our community partner.

“Cover to Cover” encourages families to build strong reading habits together in a fun, rewarding way. The program has a long track record across Southern California libraries of inspiring kids to read for enjoyment and achievement. Participants earn one gift card for every five (5) books read, with a maximum of three (3) gift cards per child, while supplies last. Parents or guardians may read with children who are not yet reading independently. Children must be present to receive their gift cards.

How to Participate

  • Sign Up & Log Reading Online: Visit our online reading portal and click the banner for the In-N-Out Cover to Cover Book Club. Select “Register” in the upper right corner.
    • Choose “Myself Only” for an individual child, or “Myself + Other Readers” to register multiple children in one family.
    • For family registration, complete the Adult account first, then add each child and click “Done Adding Readers.”
    • All book logging is completed online.

  • Program Window: Reading and logging open Saturday, October 4 and close Saturday, November 15.

  • Prize Pick-Up: Gift cards may be picked up through Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Children’s Library in the mall (1st floor). (Child must be present.)

  • Eligibility & Limits: Ages 4–12Up to three (3) gift cards per child (five books per card), while supplies last. A vegan or plant-forward ordering option is available on request.
