Lina PaulLina Paul

Lina was born in a German colony in Russia in 1935. In 1946 Lina and her family moved to West Germany where she finished school and attended nursing school. In 1960 she moved to San Francisco where she met and married her husband and raised their 4 children. For 8 years Lina sold Tupperware, then managed a bath boutique. She moved to Southern California in 1987, and held various jobs until she lost her husband of 33 years to cancer.

Lina joined a health & fitness club 14 years ago, after losing her husband, and began swimming. One month after starting water aerobics Lina had gotten her certification to teach. She has been teaching water aerobics for over 13 years now. At one point she was teaching 5 classes a day, then 12 to 14 classes a week, and is now down to teaching 3 classes a week for Escondido Recreation. She has taught for Iceoplex, 24 Hour Fitness, San Marcos Recreation, and Ocean Hills. Lina is CPR, 1st Aid and Water Safety certified, and had also been certified to teach arthritis water aerobics as well.
